SLIIT becomes the 'Best Performing CCNA Cisco Academy in Sri Lanka-2013'

Ending the year in style, SLIIT has been declared as the " Best Performing Cisco CCNA Academy in Sri Lanka 2013 ' in the Cisco Networking Academy Conference held recently, cementing its status as the best institution of higher education in Sri Lanka, Cisco Regional manager Asia Pacific, Cisco Technical Manager - Asia Pacific, Cisco Area manager- Sri Lanka and the Maldives and Sri Lanka Cisco instructor community attended the prestigious event.


While CISCO SLIIT’s partner acts as the Cisco Academy to train students and is also established Cisco Instructor Training Center for the training of trainers of the Cisco Academy. Furthermore, SLIIT has also been granted the role of being the “Center Support Cisco Academy (ASC) to Sri Lanka and the Maldives “to ensure and maintain high quality program to all CNAs. Now SLIIT has all the features of the Cisco Networking Academy program, adding more credibility and respect for the institution awarding the degree.

Excited for the award, President and CEO of SLIIT, Professor noted that "Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking and we are pleased to have partnered with Cisco to bring the highest standards of technical education for our students. Shows this award our commitment to rising and give students the opportunity to join a team of networking professionals worldwide. Along with a number of professional certification programs that lead to world-class CCNA and CCNP certification, we train our students to participate in Cisco skills competitions at national and international level, which allows students to demonstrate their understanding of areas such as problem solving, design and maintenance of computer networks."


 Thanking the CISCO instructors for their continued support, Program Director of Professional Development / Head of ITSD SLIIT said: "The CCNA CISCO Academy program consists of four semesters, which educates students in the skills necessary to design, build and maintain networks of small and medium enterprises. Completion of this program, students will be eligible for a discount of follow CCENT and CCNA certification exams worldwide.

This gives them the opportunity to enter the workforce or continue their education and training in the field of computer networks.
